Educator
Acclaimed as an outstanding educator, Mr. English has served on the faculties of Sam Houston State University, Houston Community College, San Jacinto College and Texas Tech University. He has lectured extensively on jazz theory and techniques for improvisation in modern music and he has been a frequent guest artist and speaker at schools and music seminars.
Mr. English is an alumnus of The University of Miami and The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University (B.M., M.M.), where he studied composition with the late Dr. Paul Cooper.
